Description | An attractive bright and colorful 18th-century French faience teapot and cover. Hand-painted decoration with a spay of roses, wildflowers, and insects. The handle, nop and spout in a remarkable strong pink. Probably northeastern French faience, probably Niderviller, circa 1745-55. But equally, it could be Marseilles from the Veuve Perrin or Joseph-Gaspard Robert factory, circa 1770. |
