Antique 19th Century Imperial Russian solid silver herring serving dish, lid mounted with a cast fish and square glass container engraved with geometrical designs, simulating ice or snowflakes, resting on a rectangular under plate, all sides engraved with crowned syphers. Hallmarked Russian silver 84 (875 standard), St-Petersburg, year 1860's, Maker's mark NP for Nicholl and Plinke under Imperial Warrant.
