An American Jumbo "Fire Hydrant" Cocktail Shaker, c.1930

$ 695
  • Description
    A huge cocktail shaker made in the USA around the middle of the last century. Novelty items like this cocktail shaker fashioned as a fire hydrant would have been very popular just as the prohibition era was lifted in the USA in 1933. The scale of this cocktail shaker is astonishingly rare, measuring 36cm in height, capable of making cocktails for a large party of people. It is easy to imagine the appeal behind these objects which would have made great items to wow their guests. As relevant today as it was then, it makes a fantastic conversation piece and wonderful as part of a collection of barware in the modern home.
