    Elegant slender, pear shaped pitcher with short spout extending downward and a loop handle that extends to the base. Excellent condition.

    Hallmarked from the 1950's with 1.5 liter marking.

    Kay Fisker (1893-1965) was a Danish architect, designer, and architectural writer. Fisker graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen in 1920. In 1922 Fisker and Poul Henningsen designed the housing complex “Honbaek House” in Norrebro, Copenhagen. He also won a gold medal at the International Architecture Exhibition in Ghent in 1921, and a gold medal at the World Exhibition in Paris in 1925.

    He also created many beautiful silver jugs, trays, utensils etc. Fisker joined Anton Michelsen in the 1920's designing modern silver. His best known silver design is his silver wine carafe (Vinkande) which was released in 1926, and it is still in production today.
