Description
An exquisite mid-20th century centrepiece by Barovier & Toso in blown whiskey gold Murano Art glass with Art Deco flair, hand decorated with the technique Rostrato: spikes of glass individually hand pulled in relief.
Rostrato is a distinctive technique invented by Ercole Barovier as a way to enhance the glass luminosity while multiplying light reflections.
The organic shape of this centrepiece is particularly interesting so that it can be used as a bowl and as a flower vase.
Diameter opening 6.75 in. Can be accompanied by a smaller bowl, item 778PC2 as per photograph. - More Information
