Edmé Samson et Cie was created in 1845. The manufacturer, which continued production until 1969, is known for copying designs of other porcelain makers. Samson Ceramics copied designs by Chelsea, Meissen, Sevres as well as many Chinese export porcelain items. Not all Samson items are marked. Moreover, marks on many items of this manufacturer were removed in order to pass for originals. This bowl is not for use with food - for decorative use only!
