Description
This elegant bowl was designed by Erik Magnussen for Gorham Manufacturing Company in 1927. Erik came to the United States in 1925, the same year that he was hired by Gorham as artistic director. He stayed with Gorham until 1929. Erik Magnussen introduced modern design to silver manufactured in the United States. This bowl is a great example of his minimalist Art Deco designs for Gorham. it is marked with the artists E M monogram, sterling and Gorham.
