Description
A classical scene reminiscence of Possin depicts a young woman combing her hair with her fingers sited in a natural surrounding, is painted in a vertical oval placed in the center of the oval galleried tray with hand holes. The central painting is enclosed in a pompeian red double band simulating a picture frame. The ochre background is marbled in green and deep red colors. The rim is painted with grouping of flowers in different sizes in the same colors of black. pompeian red and ochre. The tray may have been painted in England for the American trade.
