French 19th Century Petite Oak Butcher’s Block
-
Description
A charming chopping block from France. The thick, worn top is made of a single piece of oak, turned and styled with inset bands and a turned drop finial. Knife marks and scrapes that were left by cooks, now long gone, can be seen and felt as if they were made yesterday. The thick, round top is supported by three straight legs, made with carved notches towards their feet. A fabulous antique, full of character, that would be an excellent addition to one’s kitchen or home.
