Description
Beautiful glazed earthenware bowl that showcases the signature style of Italian ceramicist Guido Gambone. Hand-built form with organic edges is covered in a dense, textured glaze with earthy tones of mauve, pink and cream. Abstract geometric pattern incised at the center of the bowl. Seldom seen at this large size, it can be used as a serving bowl or centerpiece. Excellent condition, with no cracks or chips. Signed at the base with donkey emblem. Italy, 1950s.
