Description
Round Vide Poche by Henry Wilson
Discard your day at the door.
Your Vide Poche is designed with your loose-pocket items in mind – think keys, change and phone. It is made, polished and finished in Sydney, Australia in solid Gunmetal Bronze.
Sand casting is as much about negative space as it is about form, which is why the object is reversible so consider both sides of your dish.
Vide Poche is manufactured in small batches meaning slight variations will occur from piece to piece. Production marks may include slight pour ripples or surface pitting.
Heat treatment gives a blackened finish which will oxidise and further darken over time to reveal a distinctive patina. Simply use a metal polish to return it to it's original blackened state. Do not use scouring pads.
Vide Poche Rond are 125mm DIA x 40mm and come boxed.
Henry Wilson's work combines a rational, democratic utility with an element of sculptural expression. There is a clear form and function in our products, but it’s important they also have feeling. We are interested in the awkward beauty that comes from something made by hand. We like to explore how imperfection can be introduced into an industrial process, to make something at scale that retains a sense of individual charm.
