Description
A portable tea set comprising chabako (box), inner tray, tea caddy, and tea-whisk container, the wood core finished in polished black roiro lacquer and decorated in gold, silver, and colored hiramaki-e and takamaki-e with the character "snow", the moon, and scattered cherry blossoms.
Comes with the original fitted kiri wood tomobako box inscribed and signed outside "Wajima lacquer tea set with maki-e design of snow, moon, and flowers, made by Goryo" and sealed Goryo.
Ichinaka Goryo is based in Wajima and specializes in making tea wares. -
