Silver Plated Figural Chicken Napkin Ring, American, circa 20th Century
-
Description
Listed is a silver plated figural napkin ring that I have not seen before and is unmarked. I do not think it is from the Victorian era, but I do believe it was manufactured and somewhat later, say 1920s, not a fake or meant to deceive, simply a later silver plated figural napkin ring. It is very cute and well made with a beautiful patina, incorporating the fine elements of Victorian napkin rings; with scroll floral edging to the ring border circumference, and a nicely detailed chicken and comb to his headress, with lifelike characteristics, silver plate is in excellent condition appropriate dining subject matter and a very nice addition to a silver plated napkin ring collection.
