In the endless contest between Earth and Sea, there is no winning or losing, only today’s shores slipping under tomorrow’s tide. In Studio Greytak’s Bling Bowl 6, the mingling of land and water plays out for all to see. Golden brown curves through crystalline blue aragonite like a crescent-shaped island that refuses to be overtaken by the sea. At one edge, aragonite, the shape-shifter, morphs into a cloud of calcite that expands as it ascends. Gentle, playful energy collects in this piece and serves as a reminder that change is inevitable and that it can be a force for good. -
