Tapio Wirkkala for Rosenthal Porcelain Tea Sets
-
Description
Rosenthal tea sets made of porcelain designed by Tapio Wirkkala represent the best combination of modern and traditional design. Created in 1969, Rosenthal tea sets are a mix of bold colors and gracefully balanced geometric shapes. The various pieces are decorated with symbolic motifs such as leaves, starfish and embroidery. In this case we are proposing a unique 4-person service, with double grip cups i.e. we find both right and left two ceramic handles to lift the cup. The very clean and geometric striped pattern gives modernity to the service. The collaboration between Tapio Wirkkala and Rosenthal led to the creation of a number of distinguished porcelain collections. Created in 1968, Tapio Wirkkala's magnificent porcelain tea sets are a mix of bold colors and gracefully balanced geometric shapes. The various pieces are decorated with symbolic motifs such as leaves, starfish and embroidery that lend elegance and exclusivity to each item created. In addition to this, a very special detail is the gold insert that brings out the beauty of the white porcelain!
