Description
This lovely butter dish consists of its base, removable cover and original pierced insert. The domed cover is bordered with a bold line of applied beading and has a lovely cast Cherub finial handle. Stylized classical engraving decorates the cover.

The base is bordered with complimentary beading & Greek key pattern around its edge and has four Mythological North Wind Figural Bearded Men supporting the base of the covered buttered Dish

The removable insert has a beautiful pierced design emanating from a central circle.

This stunning butter dish is marked underneath 'TIFFANY & CO. ; 803 4852; 925-1000 M'. It measures 6.75 inches wide by 6 inches high, weighs 13.45 troy ounces, has never been monogrammed and is in very good/ excellent antique condition.
