Description Hunt Diederich expanded the definition of sculpture to maintain its relevance in the 20th century by fusing Modernism, Folk Art, and aspects of the Arts and Crafts movement to create his unique style. Hunt Diederich created pottery throughout his career. A particularly productive period was inspired by a trip to Morocco in 1926 and he takes over the pottery at the Arts and Crafts colony Byrdcliffe in 1929. This charger comes from the family that started Byrdcliffe.
