Description LATE 17TH CENTURY AUBUSSON VERDURE TAPESTRY
With a small dog running dog in the foreground and a river running from the centre down to the bottom left hand side. A bridge and a building is visible in the background, the whole surrounded with lush vegetation of trees and plants.
A later double plain border in dark blue and yellow. Woven in wools and silk with predominate blues and greens.
The tapestry is lined and in good condition with some later repairs, see photographs.
Aubusson, late 17th/early 18th century.
