Pair of Northwest Coast Native Carved and Painted Cedar Panels

Description
A lovely pair of wall hanging panels in the style of the native tribes of Northwest Pacific coast by artist Jean Ferrier in 1994.
The panel was constructed from yellow cedar; Animalistic motifs were carved and painted on the surface in a classic color palette of black and red, with occasional green. Abalone shell buttons and cowrie shells were used for inlaid highlight. Singed and dated verso.
Jean Ferrier, an native of New York, moved to Seattle in 1970s. She works and lives in Alaska, where these pair were purchased in 1994
