Description Steve Lucas is the great great grandson of Annie Healing, Nampeyo’s eldest daughter. Steve learned to make pottery from Dextra Nampeyo. Steve has long been recognized as a very talented potter. Steve learned to make pottery in the Sityatki tradition but he also learned to feel confident in improvising upon those designs. Both are evident in the designs on this pot. Please also take note of the exceptional quality of the jar’s shape, slip, polish and paint.
