1967 Whimsical Art from the Worlds Fair

Sold Sold
  • Description
This great piece of art comes from the 1967 Worlds Fair. The premise behind it was, they would put paint on the bottom of the front foot of a Elephant. They would then have the elephant step on the board leaving the footprint. They would also photograph them doing this and this was attached to the art. I have never seen another one of them. There is white paint on parts of the piece as noted in the photographs. Im not sure if this occurred when the art was made or happen later in its life. Either way it does not distract from this whimsical piece. We have had the black frame put on it.
