Description

A large mid 19th century studio drawing (chalk on paper) from the backside of a male nude subject. Powerful features with Mong hair and a beard. Left hand is pointing forward with what appears to be a javelin in the right hand - evoking the Greek Olympics. Signed Gabalino and dated February 1845. Beautifully matted (floating) to a black background and black gessoed frame. Artwork is 18" x 22"
