Description A pierce-carved door panel 'inset' of the Qing / Daoguang reign, featuring a center plaque of two gilded sentry lions among foliage on a solid red background. The surrounding pierce-carved framing is ebonised with applied parcel-gilt. The reverse side of the panel is neither painted nor gilded, but its element surfaces are as meticulously carved as the primary lion sentry side.
