Framed French Nautical Oil Painting
-
Description
Dimensions: 25″H x 31″W x 3″D
A spectacular framed oil painting, done in France circa 1965. The painting is of a Galleon at sea with its sails up, crashing through the waves. Another ship can be seen sailing on the horizon. The artist applied his oil paints heavily in the clouds and wave crests. This creates a sense of depth, giving the illusion that the crashing water might come out of the painting. Signed by artist. Oil on board. -
