ATTRIBUTED TO FRANZ WERNER VON TAMM (1658-1724)
A PAIR OF HUNTING STILL LIFE OIL ON CANVAS'
Each depicting a spaniel together with a bag of dead game and a hare.
A wild cat in the corner of one and oak trees and leaves in the background of both.
In later gilt frames.
German, late 17th/early 18th century.
Von Tamm as born in Hamburg, Germany he was known for still lifes of flowers and hunting scenes. Working in Rome 1685-1695
He was invited to Vienna to be a court painter, and remained there until his death.
