Description Painting picturing the city of St Louis in the 1930s with the rising of souls to the figure of Jesus above surrounded by saved souls.
Figures are rising like supermen from buildings, the streets and even from a trolley car. Not all people on the streets are being saved.
There are nice details like the religious revival tent in the foreground and some signs on buildings. To the left we see city suburbs and in the distance a domed building flanked by spires that may be the old Arena that was torn down. In the foreground we see a road sign for Route 66 that started in St Louis. The artist signed the visionary painting in the bottom left with the town Cantwell, Mo. which is East of St Louis (pop. about 5,000). He probably did the skyline and details from memory.
