Description This is a wonderful opportunity to acquire one of these beautifully hand crafted reduced versions of the facade bas-relief of the Folies-Bergeres cabaret originally made by Maurice Picaud aka Pico (1900-1977). This stylish plaque is a limited edition of 50. Made from plaster composition as was the original NOT lessor quality resin. This has a much more refined detailing and has been hand crafted individually by a Parisian artist who spent 40 years as a restorer for the Parisian museums and now retired. Each plaque has hand applied Antique gold gilding. The panel measures 60 cm x 60 cm and weighs almost 10 kg. Two hooking eyelets are on the back which hold the panel sturdy and very securely to your wall. This has been crafted directly from the reduced versions made by Pico. Please see my other listings for the matching side panels.

He was a French architect, interior designer and one time designer for Ruhlmann furniture who created the dancing lady facade over the entrance to the Folies Bergeres building in Paris in 1926. The facade depicts the dancer Lila Nikolska, who posed for the sculpture.
