Description Born in Waterville, Minnesota, Adolf Dehn returned to the area to paint throughout his life. Dehn first began exhibiting his work in New York at Weyhe Gallery in 1921, where he continued to exhibit until 1940. In 1937 Dehn took up watercolor painting as his preferred medium. Dehn used a Guggenheim Fellowship to travel extensively through the US and Mexico in 1939. Dehn began to exhibit with Associated American Artists in 1941.
