Oil on canvas
31 ½” x 36 ½” with frame.
Lined, over-all in great condition. Housed in a 19th c. style mahogany veneer frame.
Provenance: Collection of William Gunn; formerly from the collection of the Fenimore Art Museum.
An iconic image of an American Bald Eagle with swept-back wings perched on a rock in front of a landscape view of water and an illuminated skyline. A wonderful example of patriotic Americana.
