Description Between 1939 and 1942 Arnold Blanch spent summers teaching at the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center where he took day trips to the gold mining towns of Cripple Creek and Victor in the mountains to paint landscapes. This painting was included in "Artists for Victory, Inc. Exhibition and Prize Competition of Contemporary American Painting 1942-1943," Sponsored by Pepsi-Cola and held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, NY 1942. It was also illustrated in "Arnold Blanch," American Artist Group Monograph No. 18, Published 1946. Illustration no. 19, titled and dated 1939.
