    Excellent condition, with frame liner.
    Bertram, the son of George M. Bruestle and beloved member of the Lyme Art Colony, also grew up in Connecticut where he developed a fondness for nature. Bertram Bruestle continued to paint natural settings and animals in Old Lyme after taking over his father’s studio in 1939. His work is often overlooked but admired for his bold strokes and strong colors. He is also credited for his contribution to the Lyme Art Colony.
