Description These beautiful wall paintings—five in all—are in the manner of the leading 18th Century Rococo artists Fragonard and de Clermont. Each oil on canvas painting is contained by a richly carved and warmly gilded wooden frame.

The paintings are composed in a fragmented, almost abstracted manner: each painting contains several compositional tiers, the components of each tier being consistent between each painting. For instance, each painting contains a central gilt medallion painted within with a scene of a couple courting; each painting, below this scene of courtly grace, is set with a bundle of vegetation, and, above the central medallion, with an agglomeration of architectural elements draped in garlands and laden with birds and other figures.

The set is utterly joyful—as is the best of Rococo style art—and would be a wonderful addition to any large room.
