Description
Reminiscent while abstracted, is this painting of the fields as they turn golden. Ochre and acid yellow tones are used to describe the colour of the fields with plant forms in the foreground. Paint is textural, almost sculpted into the foreground, which gives it a sense of depth against a paler background. The fields of West Penwith, Cornwall where Francesca lives in the UK, provide inspiration in this painting.
Francesca Owen is an award winning artist who trained at the prestigious Slade School of Fine Art in London and completed an MA at Falmouth University.
Francesca has worked with both UK and International galleries, exhibiting paintings and installation, giving talks and courses on landscape painting, pigments and dyes.
Francesca has exhibited work in SE Asia, London, Devon and Cornwall. -
