Description Jene Highstein is most known for his organic, minimalist and often monumental sculptures. Highstein’s work is more in conversation with the formal and philosophical investigations of artists like Isamu Noguchi and Constantin Brancusi, rather than his more erudite contemporaries. This small drawing may seem like a radical departure from Highstein’s sculpture, but is actually a delightful corollary to his intimate and approachable style. Highstein’s simple manipulations of form often radiate a stunning silence, sometimes irreverent, but always brimming with a sense of wonder.

Signed and dated to lower right ’J.H. 82’.
