Description
Original oil on canvas autumn painting of the small New England village called Lanesville in Gloucester, Massachusetts with two churches in the shaded background. Painted in a post impressionist style by the Massachusetts artist, Lester E. Chadbourne. Signed lower right. Condition is excellent.
Chadbourne was born in 1901 and is known as a marine and landscape painter. This painting was done in the 1960’s. The artist died in 1971. In a gold leaf gallery frame with a white linen liner. Overall measurements are 26 by 30 inches. -
