Description An exceptional pastel and watercolor drawing of a scene taken from Mackworth Island, Maine depicting the Presumpscot River, the Munjoy Hill Marine Observatory (built 1807, now called the Portland Observatory), the Martin’s Point Bridge (built 1828), the Cumberland and Oxford Canal (opened 1832), and an 18th c. Stroudwater house overlooking the water.
