Offered for sale is an oil on canvas painting by artist Simon Parkes titled "Noon at Walking Dunes". This lovely painting in nicely framed in a giltwood frame by Eli Wilner. It is signed on the lower right and dated 2001.

Simon Parkes was born in Crowthorne, England, and grew up in Wellington College where his father was a teacher. He opened an art conservation studio in New York in 1980 which he maintains to this day. Parkes began painting in the early 1990s and has had frequent exhibitions at W.M. Brady & Co. in New York, in addition to shows in Long Island and Palm Beach. In addition to his favorite subjects of Long Island and New England, Parkes has painted in Europe, North Africa, the Caribbean and Central America. The artist lives in New York City, East Hampton, and Swan's Island, Maine.
