Vintage Simon Parkes Oil Painting "21 Mulford, East Hampton '06"

Offered for sale is an oil painting on panel by Simon Parkes titled "21 Mulford, East Hampton '06". The work is signed in the lower right and on the verso. This painting was exhibited at W.M. Brady & Co, Inc. located at 22 East 80th Street, New York, NY 10001 in October of 2007 and is presented in a custom frame by Eli Wuilner. The wood panel measures 10" by 14".

Simon Parkes was born in Crowthorne, England, and grew up in Wellington College where his father was a teacher. He opened an art conservation studio in New York in 1980 which he maintains to this day. Parkes began painting in the early 1990s and has had frequent exhibitions at W.M. Brady & Co. in New York, in addition to shows in Long Island and Palm Beach. In addition to his favorite subjects of Long Island and New England, Parkes has painted in Europe, North Africa, the Caribbean and Central America. The artist lives in New York City, East Hampton, and Swan's Island, Maine.
