This original oil on canvas is based on the painting “Fiesta Day” by renowned Taos Society artist Victor Higgins that can be found in the permanent collection of the Butler Museum of American Art in Youngstown, Ohio. This vibrant, richly colored version of that significant work was painted by an unknown and clearly very skilled artist and is unsigned but inscribed, dated 1934, monogrammed verso, and set in a unique hand-carved gold-leaf frame designed especially for this painting.
