Description Carole A. Feuerman is acknowledged as one of the world’s most prominent hyperrealist sculptors. Born in Connecticut, raised and trained in New York, Feuerman works in a variety of media including resin, marble and bronze, she has distinguished her skill in each by defining and recreating the human condition. Feuerman sculpts life-size, monumental and miniature works, painting them with hundreds of layers before achieving human-like tones.

Meticulously rendered, her resin sculptures employ her signature and realistic style to give the viewer the impression of a living, breathing human being.
Feuerman pioneered new approaches to sculpture with painted bronze pieces, which she has created with her own unique methodology of sculpting with molten metal that she calls “Painting with Fire". Her sculptures can be displayed both indoors, outdoors, and in water. Pushing the boundaries of physics her Double Diver is an innovative technique that extends into the air 40 feet supported by two six-inch wrists.

Carole Feuerman’s sculptures explore classicism while presenting emotions of joy, grace, tranquility and sensuality. She evokes an inward life inviting the spectator's conjecture as well as suggesting the distance between work and the observer. The tactile nature of her sculpture provides observation into a somewhat private environment, such as a woman stepping out of the shower or into the rain, eliciting a meditative juncture. Best known for her hyper-realistic sculptures of swimmers, the viewer is captivated by the unseen, inner life of the subjects she portrays.

Along side of six museum retrospectives, Feuerman’s work has been showcased in numerous exhibitions including multiple Venice Biennales, the State Hermitage, the Palazzo Strozzi Foundation, the Kunstmuseum Ahlen, the Archeological Museum di Fiesole, and the Circulo de Bellas Artes. She won first prize at the Austrian Biennale, the Florence Biennale, the 2008 Olympic Fine Art Exhibition, best in show at the Beijing Biennale, and won the Save The Arts Foundation Award as Museum Choice.

Selected public collections include: the City of Sunnyvale CA., the City of Peekskill, NY. El Paso Museum of Art, the Boca Raton Museum of Art, Bass Museum, and Art St. Urban Museum.

Among the notable awards Feuerman has received are the Amelia Peabody, the Betty Parsons Award, the Lorenzo de Medici Prize and First Prizes at the 2008 Beijing Biennale, Austrian Biennale and the Beijing Olympic Fine Arts. Her work is included in the selected collections of His Majesty the Emperor of Japan, President Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, Soviet statesman Mikhail Gorbachev, the Forbes Magazine Art Collection, and the Caldic Collection.
