Aurora, in Greco-Roman mythology, the personification of the dawn. According to the Greek poet Hesiod's Theogony, she was the daughter of the Titan Hyperion and the Titaness Theia and sister of Helios, the sun god, and Selene, the moon goddess.

Edouard Drouot was born in Sommevoire / Haute Marne in 1859. The well-known sculptor was also successful as a painter. His artistic beginnings were formed in Paris after teaching at Emile Eugène Thomas (1817-1882) and Mathurin Moreau (1822 to 1912) as a sculptor. In his sculptural work, especially Drouot's portrait busts, he is known for allegorical themes, hunting scenes, and North African issues. From 1889 he exhibited at the Salons des Artistes Français. In 1892 he was awarded a medal. He was honored at the World Exhibition in Paris in 1900. Edouard Drouot passed away in Paris, France in 1945.
