Description | Acrylic and pastel on paper by David Donovan Jensen Dimensions: 29.5 x 22.25 in. Framed dimensions: 32 x 24.5 in. Framed to museum specifications, archival mounting and materials, solid maple wood frame with white satin finish, Opt-3 Plexiglas (protects against 70% UV rays) Contemporary painter David Donovan Jensen works in many media to create compositions that strive to be both static and beautiful. Drawing inspiration from music, Jensen engages in complex, time-consuming processes to produce intricately layered works that appear tranquil despite the fact that he often employs a power sander in their creation. His paintings have been shown in Southhampton, New York, and at the Interior Design Building and featured at the New York Design Center in Manhattan. Jensen has exhibited at many other galleries in Minneapolis and has worked closely with musicians such as Bon Iver and Polica to produce video and sculptural content. His work has been featured in Rolling Stone, The Onion, and Time Magazine. |
