Description
This work is from the Florentine School of the late 17th century. The Florentine School refers to the naturalistic style that was developed in Florence in the late 14th century. By the 17th century, Florence was no longer the most important center of painting in Italy. but was still important nonetheless. The artistic innovation that Florence once had was then shifted to Rome, where the Baroque style became more dynamic.
This pen and ink drawing presents a view of a house from a low(er) angle. The house is in Fontanaletto, which is a city near Parma in Italy. -
