Description
Beautifully painted screen of a very popular samurai subject matter. Samurai took pride in their horses and had them represented in their artwork. Horses in stable was a subject matter was introduced in the late 16th / early 17th century. Mineral pigments on mulberry paper with a silk brocade border.
