    Japanese Two Panel Screen: Marsh Flowers, Showa period (1926 - 1945) painting of a small cultivated area of marsh with birds, including a green heron, marsh grasses, lotus blossoms, and a king fisher. The bamboo structure is a network of stakes for securing fish baskets from floating away. Arist signature and seal read: Uda Taikyo. Taikyo was born 1899 in Osaka, and studied under Domoto Insho.
