The meatal work is significant not only as security but as decoration. All hand hammered all original. Softly carved spandrels to the sides, with a worn lacquer finish having a spectacular patina to the Elm wood. A very important piece that had a very specific and special purpose. Excellent storage with 4 drawers with lower shelfed compartments. In very good condition. Shanxi, China circa 1800.
