Description
The tall bracket feet and central pendant drop on this chest are related to a tall chest signed by cabinetmaker William Yocum of Montgomery County, PA. This example is inlaid with the initials "HL" and date "1779" on the facade.

Origin: United States, Pennsylvania Period: 18th Century Materials: Walnut Condition: Good. Hinges are original, lock and escutcheon are replaced. Brass pulls are period replacements matching the witness mark of the original pattern.
