An unusual amboyna cupboard by Gillow & Co, of tall rectangular form with the original grey marble top, a frieze drawer above two cupboard doors opening to reveal three mahogany slides, the doors inlaid with boxwood panels enclosing a classical amphora within a strapwork and scroll border, with box wood stringing, stamped in the drawer Gillow & Co, 2545 (ledger entry 1874). English, dated 1874.
