Description
Very beautiful, unpretentious Biedermeier writing commode / chest of drawers / secretaire-commode Extractable fold-out writing plate in top drawer with 4 little drawers with brass knobs, and spacious middle compartment. Two big drawers in the middle and bottom with old locks. Lovely bright cherry veneer and solid wood and surrounding ebony inlay at the edge of the top. Two ebonized full-columns with original engraved brass capitels and bases. Greatly restored with amazing, elaborate shellac hand-polish (French polish).
