-
Description
Attributed to Florence Knoll for Knoll Associates USA, circa 1960s, is this long, low, and sleek, teak and chromed steed credenza or cabinet. It features 9 drawers, several for hanging files, 2 doors with adjustable shelving, and a completely finished back so that this piece might also be used as a room divider. All exterior teak and wood surfaces have been professionally refinished. This work includes a chemical stripping of the old finish, light sanding as needed, minor filling of dents and small chips, color matching and staining, a new low-luster satin sheen laquer topcoat, and hand burnished with wax, steel wool, and cloth. The original chrome plating was polished by hand and is very clean and mirror-like suhc that the photos show the reflection of the ground below. In actuality, the chrome is exceptionally clean and bright. All drawers work very well with clean interiors. It is a one-piece cabinet and is easily 300 pounds or more.
